Joseph Choe, B.Sc.
Acupuncturist

Joseph was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. He now resides in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Prior to his Acupuncture training, Joseph completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo where he received an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 1995. Shortly after graduation, he began his clinical career as a Kinesiologist and Exercise Therapist in a physical rehabilitation environment in the Brantford area. For the next five years, Joseph gained extensive experience in rehabilitating musculo-skeletal pathologies, specializing in spinal stabilization and postural retraining. It was during this time that he began to appreciate the intricacies of Acupuncture, and how it enhanced the body's innate ability to heal itself. In the spring of 1998, Joseph began his formal Acupuncture training at the Centre of International Holistic Studies in Stoney Creek, Ontario. After fulfilling the necessary requirements outlined by the Open International University of Complementary Medicines , he attained his Doctorate designation in Acupuncture, along with his International Acupuncture licence. Joseph's qualifications are recognized by the World Health Organization Syllabus of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing (1974). He is a member of the Canadian Council of Certified Acupuncturists, and the Acupuncture Foundation of Sri Lanka.
