Shannon O'Hara

Although born in St. Catharine's, Shannon has lived in Brantford since the age of two. Her stepmother is very knowledgeable about holistic healing practices, including massage therapy. This background peaked Shannon’s interest in the health field, and after extensive research she concluded that becoming a Registered Massage Therapist would be a wonderful way to help people.

Shannon is the mother of a 17 year old daughter. For much of her life she has worked as a receptionist or scheduler in various offices. Shannon plays baseball and darts and is an avid sports fan. Her many life experiences make her very aware of the importance of good health. Most recently Shannon worked for the Victorian Order of Nurses which again reinforced her interest in the health care field.

Shannon enrolled at the “Canadian Therapeutic College” in Burlington. After completing the comprehensive 2 year program, she graduated in November 2004. She then wrote the provincial licensing exams and was licensed in March 2005. Shannon was now ready to pursue her new vocation. In the months since, she has had many successes using her massage therapy training, and has reaffirmed how truly amazing the health benefits of message therapy can be.
